Now that Christmas is past and the gifts have been received I can share the photos I took this fall of my grandchildren. I wanted to surprise my children with a group of photos and was completely amazed no one spilled the beans! I decided to have all of my grandchildren in the same color shirt because I wanted the attention drawn to their faces. What I got in addition was the chance to experience first hand how much they adore each other. The photo above shows them holding each other closely. Special.
But before we got started, a stick bug delighted the group. It’s funny how a simple little bug excites the little ones.
After a while they were able to sit down and look at the camera for Grandma.
This is one of my favorites from that day. The kids look so big in close up photos but this one shows their true size. All of them fit on a part of a picnic table.
These two are also a couple of my favorites. They love to giggle together and they are competitive in a fun way.
In the end we all had a blast. They love being outside and so does their grandmother. 🙂 They are pretty good about me driving them nuts with the camera. But most of all, they absolutely love any time we all have together. Special. Very special.
A couple great quotes:
What children need most are the essentials that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort, lessons in life. And, most importantly, cookies. ~Rudy Giuliani
Our grandchildren accept us for ourselves, without rebuke or effort to change us, as no one in our entire lives has ever done, not our parents, siblings, spouses, friends — and hardly ever our own grown children. ~Ruth Goode
